*The brands I talk about are those that I have personally tried, therefore I can say whether it is good or bad. There are many other good and bad products out there, however because I have not tried them yet, I cannot give my review on them or recommend them to you.*

In this part, I answer the following questions. I have almost added the text of what I wrote so you can read it if you like! :D

4.What is blot powder? What is the difference between blot powder and blotting sheets?
Blot powders have the same function as blotting sheets in that they blot away any excess oils throughout the day without taking off your makeup. MAC makes a great blot powder that sets your foundation and can be used throughout the day for touch ups. The choice of using a blot powder versus the blotting sheets is personal preference, and it is not mandatory. These are generally used for those who tend to get oily during the day. A cheap and quick alternative is using one of those toilet sheet covers. If you want to blot, but dont have any blotting sheets or powder, take a toilet sheet cover, rip a piece off, and use as a blotting sheet. Sounds weird, but it works. A one ply (if its more than one ply, then peel off a layer) toilet paper square will work too, but it may take off some makeup.

5.What is a primer? Is it essential?
A primer is a product designed to prep your skin before applying your concealer or foundation. Different primers have different functions for different people. Some primers are designed to smooth your skin to provide an easier canvas for you to apply your foundation onto. Those with large pores may choose a primer that will reduce the size of their pores, those with redness or rosacea may choose a primer that is tinted green to cancel out the redness in their skin so that it will not show up as intense underneath foundation or it will take less foundation to cover up the redness. Also primers provide a barrier between your skin and the foundation. Sometimes wearing a foundation alone on top of your skin may cause you to break out because your skin does not react well with the foundation. However, a primer with this specific task will provide a barrier between your skin and the foundation. Many people do not wear primers under their foundation, which is totally normal. However if you have some skin imperfection that you would like to reduce that will help your foundation then I recommend you try one. I have also tried MACs Prep and Prime, both with the spf 50 and without, and I prefer the one without. MACs Prep and Prime is designed to provide the barrier between your foundation and skin, and it smoothes it out a bit, but has no other function. I have heard good things about Rimmels primer however I have not tried that yet. I have also heard good things about milk of magnesia as a cheap alternative to a primer; however I have not tried that yet so I cant say whether or not I agree. Milk of Magnesia is a temporary constipation reliever and I believe may be found in any drugstore.

6.What are the common steps to applying face makeup?
•For myself, I like a fuller coverage in my face makeup. I have acne scarring, redness on my cheeks and acne prone, oily/combination, and sensitive skin. I hate oxidizing foundations. I also hate when my foundation melts off. This is my daily face routine, and I will be doing a visual tutorial on it soon:
oAfter taking a morning shower, and washing my face with Dove Beauty Bar Soap for Sensitive skin, I apply my Neutrogena moisturizer.
oAfter letting that dry for about 10-15 minutes (while I dry my hair), I apply my MUFE primer. I let that dry for 5 minutes.
oThen I apply my MAC concealer with my fingers. It is a cream concealer so I like to use my fingers to warm it up. I apply the concealer under my eyes, and to my redness on my cheeks, chin, nose, and between my eyes and to any acne spots.
oI then apply my Revlon Colorstay foundation with a cosmetic sponge. I use a dabbing motion and I blend well into my hairline and down to my neck.
oI then let that dry for a couple of minutes.
oI then apply my MAC MSF Natural with a kabuki and buff it into my skin and blend it well.
oI apply my blush, do my eye makeup, and if I want to that day, I dust Laura Merciers Translucent powder with my MAC 150 or my EcoTools Powder brush.

In this part, I answer the following questions. I have almost added the text of what I wrote so you can read it if you like! :D

1. What is foundation and what is it used for?

In general terms, foundation is used even out your skin tone and smooth out your complexion. It also provides a base for your bronzer, blush, highlight, powder, and anything else you will apply to your face. For those who do not have much discoloration, acne, or rosacea they may want to use a tinted moisturizer or a foundation with a lighter coverage. Those who do have acne, acne scarring, rosacea, or other skin problems may want a more medium to fuller type of coverage in their foundation. If you have any acne spots or scarring, then concealer is generally used for this purpose.

2. Types of foundations
• Liquid Foundations
• Cream foundations
• Stick foundations
• Mineral makeup
• Tinted moisturizers

3. What is finishing or setting powder and what is it used for?
Finishing or setting powder is not foundation but a powder that basically sets your makeup for the day so it is used after you applied your makeup. Translucent powder has no colouring to it so it may be used for all skin colours. However, you may also choose a setting or finishing powder with color in it if that is your preference. Setting powders are generally applied with a big fluffy brush.

Thanks for watching!
