Hi,
I’m a teenager with mild acne and rosacea. How can I properly care for my skin to keep it healthy and treat the acne/rosacea? What does your skin care regimen consist of? I have extremely delicate skin and cannot tolerate harsh products.
My favorite company is Clean & Clear, though it varies for everyone. The wave or the similar thing made by dove are both great, but you have to keep replacing the pads which does get pricey. Don’t put cream on your face unless it is specifically for the face. Also, cover up is great for your looks but not great for your skin. Put a little on if it makes you feel more confident but don’t use to much or your face will get worse. Just remember everyone your age is having the same problem.

Personally it made my skin extremely dry. It’s different for everyone, but I do not think it would help the Rosacea itself.

So I have always had red cheeks. And hated it. I wasn’t sure exactly why. I never really had acne. I do get bumps and pimples on occasion and the rare zits.
But I just had my second child and my Rosacea got bad enough for me to realize thats what is has been. My skin gets so red and itchy you can tell its inflamed and irritated, its also very dry.
Im done with it, is there anything I can do to calm me severely dry irritated face? I cant really were make up because its so dry, and my moisturizer is not helping anymore. It may be worse since I JUST gave birth. But Really I need a little self esteem back.
Is there anything I can do? I heard the Aveeno Calming lotion works, but do I need anything else too?
hi.
it sounds like what u have might be eczema rather than rosacea. u don’t usually get itchy skin with rosacea but symptoms vary from person to person i couldn’t really tell without seeing a picture of it. both eczema and rosacea can be made worse/triggered by hormones so i’d definitely say that just giving birth has made it worse with ur hormones being all over the place. ur skin should settle down once they do. a natural herbal pill called Agnus Castus will help with that - its a hormone regulating pill made from Chaste-berry’s so no risk of side effects.
switch ur cleanser and moisturiser for products from Cetaphil http://www.cetaphil.com/ - they’re made specifically for dry sensitive skin and are free from any harmful chemicals and perfumes. e45 cream is also good for soothing irritated dry skin.
spicy food makes rosacea and eczema worse so try and avoid that, along with sunlight and caffene.
chemicals to avoid are:
PROPYLENE GLYCOL.
GLYCERIN.
both of those are proven skin irritants and are found in a lot of everyday skin products, so check for those and throw anything with them in away.
